My favorite scenic drive that I've ever done was the Great River Road in Wisconsin. You've got the rocky bluffs peeking out of dense woods on one side and the gorgeous Mississippi River on the other, and if you go on a clear fall day, it's kinda sensory overload.

Hill County, TX and Hillsboro, TX are kind of interesting. What you say about the relative lack of development along the I-35 corridor there is correct. Growing up, I knew Hillsboro for the outlet malls there; they are gone now. At the time, the major outlet malls along the I-35 corridor were in Hillsboro and San Marcos. San Marcos kept their outlet malls, and they continue to be a major shopping destination; San Marcos is also a larger city and a college town with a large university (Texas State University), not to mention its location between San Antonio and Austin. The San Marcos outlets also get a lot of shoppers from Mexico, to my understanding. Losing those outlet malls was a massive loss for Hillsboro. I suspect the presence of outlet malls in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex proper (such as the Grand Prairie Premium Outlets) contributed to the downfall of the outlets in Hillsboro.

From an urbanism perspective, I think Dakar is one of, if not the best, in subsaharan Africa. It's pretty underrated and I'd love to visit

Young people today want to live in denser urban areas that a walkable, much less auto-and-truck dependent communities. Racism is much LESS than it was years ago, it's just media and social media doesn't want it to lessen, then they'll have nothing to divide people on! Overall, gentrification is a very good thing!

You've done a great job with this video. in the USA, we're really ignorant about Africa and the diversity and what the cities are like and such. There are middle class areas of African cities and developed areas, not just markets and villages and animals and such. Glad to get a glimpse at Dakar. I'm a fan of the music their, particularly mbalax and Youssef Ndor, Titi, Vivienne, Cuomba Gawlo, Wallie Seck, and so many more.
